Ideal number for a backyard flock

Beware, they tend to accumulate all on their own, we started with 5 now up to 8, incant say 8 is any bigger deal than 5 was, everything increases some from food to mess, but its no harder to handle. I guess my point is don’t max yourself out, you are bound to end up with more as time goes on.

Haha - I can certainly see that happening! If we didn’t have neighbors who knows how many we’d have!

We've had two to seven at a time and ours are just loud because they were handraised and super sociable, so they get excited to see you. They act like big babies, and when you go to leave they try to quack loudly at you. That's just me

Yup, that’s ours too. They quack like mad when they see us, stopping when I go into their yard or talk to them, but they won’t let me get within 2 feet of them. Ducks offer a strange kind of love
