Ideal Poultry is the best!

Thats good news, I'm ordering my first chicks from them for April....I've been a bit nervous about recent posts of DOA's

I have never lost a chick from Ideal in shipment.I have ordered bantams and standards together and they were fine.Now I have have lost a couple after I got them home but I believe they were smothered on the bottom of the pile.

I'm finding the only problem I have had is when I order them and have them shipped when it is too cold. I find that they do much better when they arrive and it's warm. Sometimes it's hard to keep that 95 degrees when it's very cold outside. I have a hard time keeping my house really warm because I can't sleep in a hot house! Hey....I'm just a rookie. I learn.

i love ideal. i dont think ive lost a chick in shipment either. mcmurray is terrible, though. lost half of em!

The only shipment I've had from McMurray was last year and I lost 5 out of 27.It wasn't McMurray's fault because it took them from Saturday to Wednesday morning to get to me.Losing only 5 on a 4 day shipment is not that bad so I will order from them again.

I guess I can't speak too loudly as I have not been ordering for years, but show me a hatchery that has a 100% live ship rate, and I will order from them and call everyone else terrible

I just orderd today from Ideal. I actually ordered three previous times and then did not submit the order. I have never ordered anything alive before. I thought about driving to Cameron Texas to pick up the chicks. Because of all the positive things I have read about receiving chicks from Ideal, I decided to go that rout. I am extremely anxious.
