IDEAL Poultry....they fixed everything

I have an Ideal order shipping on the 24th. I'm excited, but nervous because we've suddenly had a cold snap. I hope they get to Kentucky alright. I'll let you all know what condition they are in, hopefully no one-eyed birds or cross beaks! (Someone else I know got a one-eyed cross beak and another cross beak from Ideal recently, but that was two birds out of a very large order...)

I have ordered from Ideal about 5 or 6 times and have had great experiences with them. If a chick died they would replace it, give a credit or give a refund. I have even gotten credit for a chick or 2 that died 3 to 4 days later after I recieved them. You can order as few as about 6 chicks or so as long as it is at least $25.00 total including the shipping, box and small order fee which I believe is $7.00. So in essance you really only need to order about $15.00 worth of chicks. Of course I wouldn't order that few at this time of year due to the cold weather.
You definatly have to consider the time of year and shipping distance.
I WILL use them many more times and they are my #1 choice for hatchery chicks.

And for all of those people that wouldn't order from Ideal because of these things mentioned I say great because that leaves MORE chicks available for me to get from them.

I ordered hatching eggs from Ideal. Their customer service was exceptional. I ordered 12 Black JG eggs. Five hatched. Considering that it was cold out and the eggs were shipped, I was happy with that. One egg turned out to be a red jungle fowl. OOPS! But they were good about it and offered to send me chicks because of the mix up. I didn't need more chicks so I didn't take them up on it. I would order from them again. BTW, the JG's that hatched from their eggs were great.
