Lil'chickfarm: I have mixed peanut butter, flour,eggs, crackers,oatmeal, mixed crushed pellets , oysters shells crushed & sunflower seeds. baked it on 300 for an hour and is it so hard.So it will give them something to work at tomorrow. I sell my silkies for $6 a piece and get it real easy. And the wire if exellent for thm to walk on so it isn't slippery and give them sprayed legs. If you put hay in there with the it is just as good as wire. I just had 2 coons out there trying to eat all my chickens.I herd the chickens swalking on my security camera outside and I took the spot light out and sen 2 coons in the trees. Now I'll be up all nite making sure my chickens are ok.

Yoie, did you just get one silkie, or did it come with others?
I also got three Cochins too and they are the most adorable little stinkers!! They are cuddly too.
When I raised my RIR/EE mixes, they did not like being held from the very beginning.

The silkie came with a Mottled Houdan, Bantam Ameraucana (EE), Silver Sebright, and a Bantam Blue Laced Red Wyandotte.​

In your first picture, the chick all the way to the right that has stripes looks like a Partridge Silkie... thats exactly like what mind looked liked as a chick!

Where do you live? If you're close to NJ or can ship I'd take 1 off your hands!

Thanks. I have sold alot already. Someone is taking 12 tomorrow.
I will be down to 12 and want to raise eight. So just a few more need homes.
I am in Ohio though and I don't ship. Sorry. I don't have the kind of boxes for them and it would be aweful for one little baby to ship alone.
Plus they are not newly hatched now, and they need heat, food and water.

Urghh i am 13 and i really want silkies! but they are so expensive well not expensive but you know what i mean. I used to have 18 chicks but i let them freerange in my grandma's huge garden and in my neighborhood there are stray cats, hawks, eagles ect. so now i only have fourteen chicks. i have 10 welsummers 1 americana 3 araucanas. The americana is about a month old or idk because when i bought it it was probably a week old already i bought her on may 21 and its almost july here in st paul MN so idk. anyways i really want silkies!!!!
