ordered 25 assorted straight run light assortment and 25 assorted clean leg bantam straight run, got 51 chicks but one doa

the bantams i'm unsure what i got, maybe mostly old english. the light assorments was a dissapointment because the hatchery gave me only brown leghorns and their 236 white layers. was kinda expecting more diversity like fayoumis, lakenvelders, buttercups, hamburgs or maybe another variety of leghorns.

Yeah they should've picked up on the fact that you ordered bantams along with them that you like ornamental types. Same thing happen with me when I ordered a "surprise" special. Got 2 kinds: RIR and Barred rock. Most I sold but the ones I kept turned out healthy.

it sucks that they weren't more of ornamental breeds, but the chicks were healthy so that's a good thing
