ideas for Chicken themed 3 yr old's birthday party

Its my son's birthday in a month and I'd like to have a chicken themed party. I was thinking of getting a chicken pinata and maybe getting the kids to paint eggs or something. Anyone else have any ideas?

Egg hunt? Plastic eggs filled with candy and hide them, kids have to find them.

Cupcakes with Peeps on them?

There was an article in Backyard Poultry a year ago or so where a woman took a duck-shaped cake pan and with some trimming on the beak, made a chicken cake.
