Ideas for no waste chick feeders

I do the same thing. I have an old planter tray. The one that catches the water when the flower pot is full. The baby chick feeder fits just inside of it and catches all the spilled feed. Dump it back in the jar and start over.

I’ve been using the planter drip trays for years as well. Eventually they break them apart, but they work pretty well otherwise.

No waste chicken feeder

When we first got our chickens, this is what our sales clerk said she wish she'd had years ago, and that it literally has no waste. It's all we've ever used, and it appears to have...no waste. I screwed a big funnel on the top to keep them from sitting on it and leaving doo-doo.

I also made a small version of the DIY no waste feeder, using 2 inch elbows, to get them used to using that style.

As we all know chicks probably waste almost half the feed you give to them. Does anyone have any no waste chick feeder ideas? So tired of throwing half my feed in the garbage.
