ideas on space saving for grit, feed, water, oyster shell feeders

they seem to take up so much space and look haphazard in there. anyone come up with a combo system or a way to manage these 4 different requirements?

thinking like a hanging rack with different levels at least for ones other than waterer...I suppose an outside feeder/grit/shell and maybe even waterer might do the trick...

They have those hoppers that you can attach to the wall. Most of the farm stores have them. They're kinda flat so they don't take up much room. Or you can just put a scoop of oyster shell into the feed pan once in a while. They'll pick out a few bits at a time if they want them. Works for me.

I am going to build feed boxes along my wall that the feed bowls will set in about 2 inches off the ground. It will also have a top a foot and a half from the bowl, so there will be no climbing in the feed. I will have one spot for the grit and oyster shell, which I mix mine.

it would be neat if you could just put grit, shell and feed in one large feeder...

any recipe for that?

I am in the process of finishing my coop now. This section will have nesting boxes for my sitters and a separate area for the Roo and hens I want to cross, or for purebreds.

My metal feeder is hanging from the roof of the coop, the waterer is sitting on a stack of 2x6's (to get it up off the shavings) next to the feeder, and I just sprinkle grit on the ground in the run, right in front of the coop. I haven't started with the oyster shell since mine aren't laying yet. I'm not sure what I'll do with that yet...I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

yeah, I forgot. when I get my bottom wired up I can do that with grit on the ground.

and oyster in feed..

I never thought about throwing grit on the ground, is it okay to throw it where they may be pooping? Seems like they would waste a lot.
