Welcome to BYC!

I don't keep this breed so I am not sure. You might check out this thread on this breed. Ask questions, post pic and talk to others that keep them...

Enjoy all your poultry adventures and welcome to our flock!

Hello

and Welcome To BYC! The Ameraucana club also has pictures of all the recognized colors on its website http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html if you have Easter Eggers, there are a lot of threads for them, here is one on sexing them which may help you with your chicks in a few months https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/463817/easter-egger-sexing-tips-and-tricks-pictures-included

Welcome to BYC. Good links provided by Kelsie. If your birds were purchased from anyone other than a breeder, they may very well be Easter Eggers.

you can always put the breed name like Ameracana photos in the search box and see what comes up. If the name is spelled that way they are hatchery birds and most certainly easter eggers instead.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on the probability that they are Easter Eggers and not true Ameraucanas (a certainty if they were misspelled as Americana or Americauna). If you are not familiar with the difference, there is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html explaining the difference between Ameraucanas, Araucanas, and Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite hens. She loves the different colored eggs that they lay. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
