Hi new to byc... was wondering if anyone new how to tell what my americana chickens would look like grown? They r only 3 days old now

you can always put the breed name like Ameracana photos in the search box and see what comes up. If the name is spelled that way they are hatchery birds and most certainly easter eggers instead.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on the probability that they are Easter Eggers and not true Ameraucanas (a certainty if they were misspelled as Americana or Americauna). If you are not familiar with the difference, there is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html explaining the difference between Ameraucanas, Araucanas, and Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite hens. She loves the different colored eggs that they lay. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
