Tried to get better pics....they are 6 weeks old. The one pic has our very small female mallard in it and she is 7 weeks old. They are supposed to be golden 300 hybrids. The one with black head I think is male. The other one we are not sureI can't see a size reference, so I can't tell which they are, but they look like either juvenile mallards or rouens.
We purchased our ducks from metzer farm in California. We specifically asked for two males. And golden 300 hybrids. Can you tell if the one looks female?Definitely not Golden 300 males - those are black, and usually look sort of like a black swedish. If they were Golden 300s, with this coloring they'd have to be female, but I really don't think they're Golden 300s.
Did you get them from a hatchery, or did you get them from someone who may have thought they could breed two Golden 300s together and get more Golden 300s?

They don't quack. Kinda raspy. What's that mean? Thank you for all your help. You seem very knowledgeableThey look like they might be old enough to tell by their voices at this point - do they have a low raspy voice or a loud quack?
You might want to get in touch with Metzer. Their customer service is pretty good and they could probably tell you for sure what they are, and they might refund you for them.
