Identifying Worms in Sick Chickens

Is there any way those are not worms, but something else? I'm really not a worm expert, but capillary (thread) worms are found in the crop, throat, and probentriculus. They are 1/2 inch long and thread-like. Valbazen can treat them , as well as a 5 day course of SafeGuard (fenbendazole) Liquid Goat Wormer or Equine Paste.
