The bus driver missed my sons stop.He didnt say anything because last year they dropped off on the way back. Soooooo instead of calling ,coming back or informing someone, she took him to the elementary school in the next town because thats where her next run was. The poor kid thought he was being stolen when she left our road turned up rt4 and headed north. Of course I realize its the first day and new bus driver new route but my son was MIA for 1 1/2 hours! On top of which when I called the school I was told he will be dropped off at school in 15 minutes. Well I was there for 40 and the moron took him to my house left him and didnt tell anyone.

But Ive had my stop passed and end up in the next town multiple times from different bus drivers and it gets annoying when you try to tell them they passed your stop and they dont beleive you.

when my oldest daughter was in kindergarten she always fell aslep on the bus and the bus driver didn't see her an would forget to let her off at my house... we would have to chase the bus down... finally they stuck her behing the driver so the could see her in the mirror

I understand your fear and frustration. This happened with my daughter twice back in kindergarten and I called the school to complain and the driver "claimed" did not see anyone on the corner waiting for her, after flying by my mother without even slowing down. My mother is not a tiny woman, so the next day as the bus approached mom stepped into the road and then asked the driver, "Did you see me now" They never missed the stop again.

Years ago, my sister and I were walking down our driveway to the bus stop and our mean rooster attacked her. She didn't realize how bad it was until we got on the bus. The route went back by our house so my sis asked the driver to drop her back off - at this point there was blood pouring down her leg. The bus driver was not going to stop. She was worried that our parents would get mad at her - I told her she couldn't imagine how mad my mom will be if she DIDN'T let my sister off the bus. She finally did - I just couldn't believe she even thought to take an injured child an hour to school where she would have had to be picked up (taking more time for my parents to drive to get her), instead of dropping her back of at her house.

I hear ya! We live in a rural area. This morning my daughters bus driver flew right past her at the end of the driveway and never even slowed down! Granted, it was dark, but it's been the same driver for the past 3 years. Not to mention that EVERY kid will be waiting in the dark! She has to get herself on the bus since her dad and I leave 15 minutes earlier than she does (she's 11) and I have been drilling in her head to not be late. Didn't figure the driver would be at fault! She says to me "Mom, i was jumping up and down and waving my arms like crazy!!" The bus garage said maybe she should take a flashlight out to the road with her--or the bus driver could pay attention! Bus did come back for her and promised it wouldn't happen again, but what a scare! Thank god she didn't go near the road! Her dad is ready to put out a floodlight, forget the flashlight! Look at it this way, they probably know better than to screw up with your kid again, maybe a different kid, but they'll remember you all! Good luck for a safe(r) school year!

LOL!!! I work for our local transit agency here (city buses) and let me tell you when they first start, they have the RULES pounded into their brains and they will not deviate from it. They learn after awhile.

Poor Little One, Give him a big hug. I would be upset if the bus driver did that to me, but then I have 4 on the bus and if one doesn't get off the bus the others are flipping out.
