The Home Despot down the road from my work has what looks like a crayon-written sign on the big verticle wood cutting tablesaw which warns that they can only cut to within 1/4" of your request.. If I understand correctly, that doesn't even count the 1/8" kerf of the blade, either..
In other words, if you need a sheet of plywood ripped in half, you're liable to get one piece 24-1/4" and the other 23-5/8"...which means one side is 5/8" wider than the other.
And since you were warned in advance...sorry...you ordered it cut, so it's yours now.
And, Slowes?...don't get me started.
ding DING dong...customer service is needed in the pipe cutting area.......customer service is needed in the pipe cutting area...ding doing dong...pipe cutting area..
..7.3 seconds of a crappy song later..
ding DING dong...customer service is needed in lumber.......customer service is needed in lumber...ding doing dong...lumber..
That annoys me to no end...
