God bless you during this time of mourning and sorrow.

My dad was 86 when he passed almost a year ago now. (Jan 13th)

I miss him still, but also know that his spirit lives on and is in a much better place.

Now it's my mom who is missing him and it's so hard for her. She will be 82 in May.

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you were truly blessed with an incredible father. So was I. Mine passed in 1995, and I still miss him. The pain lessens, but it will surface when youn least expect it. A trigger can be a smell, a food, etc. Just know that the first Fathers' Day, birthday, and all of the other firsts are tough.
