If female chick is in with the rooster, how many weeks will she be safe?

So far so good, Fred our Roo is looking after baby and mama. He breeds mama...horny bugger... My question is should I worry if he will hurt the chick as she gets bigger? I don't even know right now if Frankie is a boy or girl. We have only one chick so far... Frankie is almost 3 weeks old and getting along with mama and daddy....

You'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, he'll not bother her until she's breeding age. If he does before then, you'll have to separate him from the chick.

I hope not. May be a mute point right now, as we have no idea if Frankie is a girl or boy chick right now... Got potentially six more coming though.... So hopefully Fred will be a good roo and leave them alone until they are um....ready to date!
