I nave an old coop that is 4'x8'x3'high, it has served my hen & roo for 6 months.
Since December, they abondoned this coop. Choosing the driver's cab of our box truck for their nightly nesting and roosting. We are thinking of building an addition to the old coop. A cabin up on stilts, aprox 4' off the ground. I'm puzzled, will my chickens adapt to this new box/coop? or are they too set on their free life? My hubby says we should give up on this pair, and just start fresh with peeps this spring. (He has no patience!)
I trust my pair of lover birds will produce some chicks this spring,
and bring them home to my new roost.
