Blood is good for the garden. Instead of buying blood-meal at high $, I let it dry and spread it into the garden or it can be composted. I have been gardening organically for over 35 years. Blood-meal and bone-meal are well known organic fertilizers, and can also be watered into the soil and is very high in minerals like iron. Very good for green leafy vegetables. Wood ashes from your fireplace, if not used for your chickens are a very good fertilizer. Thanks for asking.
