If I were to be given a laying hen...

my girls are about 14 weeks old. If i were to be given a single laying hen, after quarantine, how would i go about introducing her to my four teen age girls? Would they gang up on her?

I won't tell the lady yes until i can be sure of her safety as well as my birds as well.

When introducing a new flock member, I always keep the chicken in a separate area where the rest of the flock can see and hear her for a couple weeks before integrating. Works every time.

It's always hard adding just one. I never add any unless I have at least two to add so they can have a buddy system. Otherwise it's too sad to watch.
