Ok, so over the past 3 days things have been hectic around here. Hatching babies has kept me up most of the night and day, ive been catching cat naps whenever I can. So with my usual airhead ways, and lack of sleep, I forgot to change the waterer for my 5 cornish chicks. They are 2.5 weeks old (3weeks as of sunday) Anyhow, I noticed 2 of them sneexing and one has her tail down, though she seems to be the bottom of the pecking order anyhow. She is eating a little, but not much, but it might be because her "brother" always jumps on her when they are at the feeder. But she is sneezing, though no discharge. Occasionally she cries.
When i changed the waterer, I noticed a little slime in the container. I cleaned it with hot water and soap. Im worried though that they may ahve gotten a bit sick. Im going to the store to get them some suppliment, a red light and new feed (they are real pigs!) What else can i get for this sneezing? I dont think its a serious disease from and outside source, but I am concerned it could get worse, so im wanting to get something that will clear it up.
Antibiotic suppliment? or just ACV? I was going to get the suppliment for their water anyhow to help boost them up a bit more. Its what I did for my Australorps when they were chicks.
