Ok, so over the past 3 days things have been hectic around here. Hatching babies has kept me up most of the night and day, ive been catching cat naps whenever I can. So with my usual airhead ways, and lack of sleep, I forgot to change the waterer for my 5 cornish chicks. They are 2.5 weeks old (3weeks as of sunday) Anyhow, I noticed 2 of them sneexing and one has her tail down, though she seems to be the bottom of the pecking order anyhow. She is eating a little, but not much, but it might be because her "brother" always jumps on her when they are at the feeder. But she is sneezing, though no discharge. Occasionally she cries.

When i changed the waterer, I noticed a little slime in the container. I cleaned it with hot water and soap. Im worried though that they may ahve gotten a bit sick. Im going to the store to get them some suppliment, a red light and new feed (they are real pigs!) What else can i get for this sneezing? I dont think its a serious disease from and outside source, but I am concerned it could get worse, so im wanting to get something that will clear it up.

Antibiotic suppliment? or just ACV? I was going to get the suppliment for their water anyhow to help boost them up a bit more. Its what I did for my Australorps when they were chicks.

if its not serious you can try a little natural VET RX; you can get if from the feed store. hope this helps and best wishes!

I asked at the store, sadly they dont carry it here. Does anyone know a canadian seller? Or someone at least willing to ship to canada?

the 5 cornish are still sneezing. I dont see drainage, but i ahve seen one of them panting. its not too warm for them or i would think the other 4 would be panting. One has a slightly wet sounding chirp.

they are on ACV and vitamin booster still.

Still sneezing, but no other changes. Once in a while they will pant, but not too long. They still scratch, peck, jump on each other, eat and drink.

I cant seem to get anything for them that has antibiotics without paying upwards of $50.

Still on ACV and vitamin booster.

Still sneezing, no change. No runny noses, no coughing. There is heavy breathing, but no panting or gasping. Could it be the shavings? Im using pine. It is a little dusty. They are growing like crazy and eat like horses!!
