if my neighbor's dog jumps their fence and attacks my chicken coop

honestly when i asked him it was just to know. i am not confident in my abilities shooting in the dark at a moving tArget when it is Most likely i ll be sleepy and forgeting my glasses! (which is what i figure the scenario would be for a pred). my Plan to protect the chickens is to quickly get the door open and my dog out the door!! he has ran a fox off my cat before.
hopefully my dh will be home if anything ever needs shot, then he can do it and then i dont have to worry about legality.... or aim

Problem is with the loose dogs around here, they don't have tags- sometimes not even collars.

I have been having a problem with my neighbors dog also. They must let him out early in the morning after day break and he sneaks around and kills them.I have told them to keep their dog on their property and notified them about this.Im tired of talking so every morning I will be outside with my rifle until the problem has been resolved.
