I'm trying to figure out where to place my coop. The best place seems to be under some trees in a mulched area (old mulch/dirt, not fresh mulch). I'd like to use sand is my litter, but I'm wondering what I should put under that inside the coop? If you scoop/stir it up, wouldn't it just get mixed with dirt? Is that ok? Or should I try to find a subfloor? I'm not sure what I would use that would not rot.
