If your chickens have fowl pox are the eggs safe to eat?

She has no lesions in her mouth. Only on her comb. She has a large crop today and was taking some water and a little baby food from finger. She is very weak and throwing her head around alot. After she pooped (which is bright yellow and black) her crop want down drastically. She is still really weak. Should we try to feed and wster her all night or just during the day? She kinda seems like she can't see? Can she go blind with this? Haven't found much info other than she will heal up in a couple weeks and keep her hydrated and feed her vitiams. I called vet that takes chickens today but they are completely full and he couldn't see her today. My daughter is trying her best because she will only take good and water from her.I am really worried and appreciate all y'alls help

Does she have any yellow lesions in her mouth or throat? Where are the pox scabs mostly? Can you post a picture. Wet pox inside the mouth is pretty serious, while dry pox on the skin is less so. Try feeding eggs, tuna, liver, yogurt mixed with her feed with some water, or anything that she will eat.

Hey katniss is taking more water now and eating the egg yolk only if you hand feed her. She is standing today and trying to walk but I think she might be blind? She throws her head around if startled and doesn't react to light. She has a mushy crop today and yesterday it was really big but we massaged it and cleaned her bum with warm water and she pooped and then it went down but now feels really mushy. She isn't losing weight anymore and doesn't have any lesions in her mouth. Only on her comb and some by her eye. Thanks for all yalls help.

how long after fowl pox shot is given should you wait to concume eggs?
Does fowl box slow down fertility?

I was told by a vet that after you give a shot of fowl pox to your birds you should wait 21 to 28 days to eat any eggs from your birds clean your coop out and till the ground in your hen house and run place lime powder on the ground and till again then run lime powder along the perimeter of your coop make sure to dust any place in the hen house where your birds may hang out in the coop and sleep finally clean all waters and feeders with a bleach salutation when one bird have the pox chances are your other birds will get them to any litter you get from the cleaning of a coop has to be burned and any dropping have to be cleaned up and burnt as well fowl pox are caused by mosquitoes that have bitten another bird with fowl pox.
