I have had 17 illegal hens since July 4th. They are in a pre - existing shed that has been converted to a coop with an attached A -Frame outside run. They are out of view of all my neighbors, except two, and fortunately those two neighbors have a "Live Free or Die" attitude. As far as leghorns are concerned, I have two California Whites which are a leghorn X. They are not flighty at all. One is a little noisy with the egg song, but she's the alpha hen of the 17. The other California White is much quieter. They give me a nice large egg nearly every day. I would highly recommend this breed if you're looking for a nice white egg layer.
