Igloo hen blinded in fight. Suggestions for treatment?

I just read the post about another blind hen! Gosh, I guess they go for the head area when they fight! Glad that hen is OK!

As promised, I have the camera here and can post pictures of my not-any-longer-blind hen. (Thank goodness!) I treated her again today with the vet eye ointment, which is a mix of 3 antibiotics. She was a tough customer, as she wasn't thrilled being held and having a finger around her eyes.

Here are the pictures from 2 days ago, when she had a tiny bit of sight in the right eye.

Left Eye, looks bad to me

It looks especially bad, but she was already goo'd up with the ointment.

Here are pics from today. Left eye, the lid is still stuck abit.

I decided to let her out of the dog crate. She promptly went into the workshop and hopped up on another igloo, stayed the whole afternoon. There is food and water so decided to leave her be. Easier to catch her in tomorrow if I have to.

By the way, the other igloo hen, who is now raising the kids is looking better too. She's hard to photograph, as she's always trying to turn away from the camera. Here's the best shot I could get. The 6 kids sure are cute!

These two hens are either sisters or mother/daughter. They were always together. I wonder if they'll be friends once the kids have been turned loose. ????

While checking my chickens for any frostbite the other day I found one buff orp. hen with one eye shut and lots of blood around her comb and beak. I picked her up and brought her into the house. I washed out her eyes with a saline solution first. Then put her into a cage with food and water. I then did a search on byc and discovered this thread. I want to give you a very big thank you!! After seeing your pics I realized my hen wasn't near as bad as yours and that there might be a chance for her. By day two both eyes were closed and would not open. today I put some vaseline on a q-tip and dabbed both her eyes. I put her back into the cage with her food and now water with Polyvisine in it. Some yogurt and some fruit also.
I just looked at her and BOTH eyes are open!! What I thought was hopeless was far from it. I will keep her in for another day or so to make sure her wounds have closed over before returning her to the flock.
People!!!!!!!! Please use the google search box in the upper right hand corner!! Answers are readily available.
I forgot to add I had no way to get any antibiotics.

Use warm water and a cotton ball to wipe the eyes out. Make sure all the "GOO" is cleaned out of them. Then use the eye ointment. Don't let her bully you. She needs to have her eyes wiped and medicine put in them.

Corona Sale is great to put on wounded heads and body of chickens. You can buy it in the horse medicine section of Co-Op or feed stores.
