im a bit confused on what that meant. Chickens can get picky. If you look it up its a big thing with chicken owners, and every animal for that matter. They can get picky from time to time, and if that doesnt happen to you, i suppose your lucky. Now you're just making things up.
Don't borrow trouble.
They need nothing but a good chicken ration and fresh plain water.
i had never mentioned giving them a bunch of treats though? I did say dont give them major treats and such, but im talking about treats that would be sunflower seeds and such all the times. These can be purely apart of their diet with no issues, but im aaying if your giving it to them more then their average food they may favor the treats More.Huh?
I'd at least have mentioned that treats shouldn't exceed 10% of the bird's diet.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but ive linked articles that say chickens being picky is true, and of course, out of research and experince i can agree with these. Now you're just making things up.

Anything other than their feed is a treat. That is absolutely not true that treats can be a part of their diet with no issues. It's dangerous and misleading to not state that treats must not exceed 10% of the diet. I lost a RIR pullet to fatty liver syndrome from mealworms exceeding that percentage of her diet.i had never mentioned giving them a bunch of treats though? You're just regurgitating info found by googling without the experience to tell if what you're reading is valid or not.Sorry if this sounds rude, but ive linked articles that say chickens being picky is true, and of course, out of research and experince i can agree with these.

@Chicken poppy Just what is your experience with keeping and treating chickens?
No no, i never said treats can be apart of their diet with no issues. I said sunflower seeds can! Treats should always be limited! Sorry for your loss and the confusion, but i said sunflowers can be without issues if you dont overdue it to much, that provides viatmin E and proteinAnything other than their feed is a treat. That is absolutely not true that treats can be a part of their diet with no issues. It's dangerous and misleading to not state that treats must not exceed 10% of the diet. Maybe @Kiki would like to chime in about treats.
ETA: Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, the sunflower seeds most commonly fed to chickens, are very high in fat and while good in moderation can be extremely unhealthy for the bird and can lead to obesity.
I didnt see that question! Sorry. Yes, i do bave experince and research with this type of thing, i thought i mentioned that last post. I do, ive had picky chickens before, met people with that, and seen other people on this site with that type of thing. I try my very best to get the correct info and dont do it randomly, so i dont think im borrowing trouble and making things up. Why would you assume that? (Just curious, i again dont mean To be rude) i hope that cleared things up, you can tell me if i have wrong info, id love to know! But picky eating is a total thing in my opinionYou're just regurgitating info found by googling without the experience to tell if what you're reading is valid or not.
At least I don't think you have the experience, but you didn't reply to my question here:
