CALL your fish and game/ dnr dept and ask a living being directly. This is always the best source of information as it is that is the agency that will be writing your ticket or taking you into custody for any infractions you may commit by following incorrect advice.
1. Wild Game and Bird Breeder Class A is 10.50...just for owning not breeding and selling
2. Wild Game and Bird Breeder Class B is 20.50...allows for selling of birds and eggs
Nice thing is you can buy it at Wal-Mart just like your fishing license. They expire just like fishing license also, 3-31 of each year. Heads up if you get the class B the state will want to look at your receipts for birds/eggs purchased as well as sold.
And JJMR is right. Took a bit of calling around to find the right person who knew what I was talking about and actually get the right info. This was in the time of Blagojevich...go figure???
