My test hatch is due March 18th. Tonight DD will candle them to check the progress. I'll be selling whatever hatches & offering them here 1st. Older chicks should be fine at room temp for the drive. The things we'll do to get our chooks! How do hatchlings travel? Heat packs? It would be about a 3 1/2 hour drive for us.
Because we have 2 incubators, my daughter's 4H project will start as soon as we have a good broody. It's possible that we'll have DD's hatch results also available. Her project will compare broody vs incubator, so I just keep collecting eggs so we're ready to go as soon as a volunteer comes along. The younger chicks may require a heat source for the journey.
