@homeschoolin momma
It looks like I mixed up the eggs. Here's the 1st 5 from the school hatch. (8 more eggs to go) It looks like they got the lav I wanted. They also got a laced (or a Spitz). The funky looking one in front is either the welsummer-orp or the Easter egger from your CCL's egg.

The poor teacher is having a very rough time.
- She's pregnant and lives 45 min from school
- She has to come in and monitor the hatch.... with no students there to enjoy it.
- Her heat lamp bulb burned out today (and she didn't want the 45 min drive home to replace it). Since I live about a mile from the school, I gave her one of my bulbs to use. However I haven't used a heat lamp for a couple years, so thankfully I had something that still worked.
- The incubator's humidity pump went out over the weekend, so she was nervous the chicks would get stuck in the shell.

On the plus side, she set up a web cam so the kids can watch online.

Oh jeepers! Try your best to ignore the shirtless teenager in the one picture.... 🙄😧 I saw it, and now can't unsee it!!
LOL Are you sure those pics weren't taken here? My DS is the same way. His body temp is always running hot, so his socks and shirts are often off whenever there's no company around. Thankfully he usually remembers to get dressed before leaving the house.

I decided to take some chick pics today. My gardens are a mess but pretty much the only place where I could find a bit of green for pics.

The odd family (MaiMai, silkie mama, her 5.5 week old orp chick, and 4.5 month old adopted serama pullet, named Solo)

@Faraday40 I love how sesame looks like she has a beard....so cute!

Looks like Mai Mai has finally figured out motherhood!

Sesame looks like a little garden gnome. :lau

MaiMai seems to be doing OK. I'm just so happy that she adopted Solo. Only she could be blind or dumb enough not to realize the huge age difference of her chicks. I've grown very attached to Solo and and happy that she's finally fitting in. Plus, there are 5 chicks running around the bantam coop, so a chick can simply run under another broody to get warm. (Last night Xansie and Sesame were sharing a nest box and all 3 preferred the silkie. They were having a sleep over!)
