Not much action here by me. One group of 8 children,,, and that was all.
Our candy was placed on table outside. It is good that the weather was nice.
There was some kind of car parade earlier in the day. I think they were tossing candy out to the children they seen outside.
The park district had some kind of activities. Was not there so don't know exactly what went on.

No leftovers here except roasted pumpkin seeds
The chickens and squirrels are happy with the leftover pumpkin.
I think halloween is my favorite holiday.

While we were wiping off the candy, we solved the debate over which is better, right / left Twix.

I was also cheeking the candy bars in our supply. The fun size is larger than the minis. .
My left and right are same size.

We had a mob of trick-or-treaters this year which was so nice to see. My kids are finally old enough that I let them make the rounds with some friends and the parents stayed at my house handing out candy and getting a head start on adult beverages. Only my oldest bailed out early because we stood in line for 4 hrs at the DMV yesterday morning to get his permit. OMG that was brutal!!!

And my mystery layer is still a mystery 3 eggs later!!

Because I am dumb, I chose today to cover the run in plastic sheeting. And because I am dumber, I tried to do it by myself at first. Called my 11 year old out to help me and between the 2 of us we got it about half done in about 90 minutes then bailed on the rest because I am technically on my "lunch hour." Oops!! Wind and plastic sheeting are not a winning combination. Plus I think I lost a pair of scissors in the flex tape. But the birdies will be happier once it's done. CUrrently, the bottoms are secured by random heavy things we found but the top and corners are done.
