In Plainfield I have Tischlers meat market. They have by far the best steak you can purchase. Even better than steak house . They even have Kobe beef at times. Prices are not that good but quality and service is fantastic. I don't have time to cook as much (or money lol).I went to CP Meat Market today and it was pretty decent! Haven't eaten anything yet but it all looked good, very friendly staff and a lot of eager customers. One kind of jerky guy whining that prices had gone up and the guy behind the counter says "yes, it's a shame, but there's a food shortage and nobody wants to work so we're happy to take whatever order you'd like to make" or something like that which I thought was a pleasant sort of bless your heart. I already had something out for dinner tonight but I'm going to make some of the chicken tomorrow. Prices were very good for the quality and freshness I am expecting.
I do have a spare freezer in the garage but probably need another!
I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of tasting Kobe beef - but I know our dog did!
