Happy Easter!

The Easter bunny brought Popcorn baby chicks. She's finally adopted them this morning!

I love when they peek out of mama's feathers!

Seriously!?
I just removed Popcorn to care for a few chicks and Sesame took her place. Sesame just finished raising her quail chicks last week. She layed 3 eggs and today won't leave the nest box. At this point almost all my bantams either have chicks or are sitting in nest boxes.

Not Broody:
My rooster Teddy
My dumb silkie, MaiMai (The one who tried to hatch her favorite food bowl the 1st couple times she went broody)
My black silkie pullet..... but she's been joining the broody bunch from time to time

I was planning to give every broody hen a turkey poult.... but I don't want that many turkeys!

@homeschoolin momma -That mottled serama may find a way into your coop.

The Broody Bunch continues!!!!
The little pink nest tub is by far the fav. Today 4 of the hens smooshed themselves in there. The bigger tub contains the grumpy little white hen. She's appropriately named "Solo" :lau
* The name was because of a sad "lonely only" chick situation, but it still rings true tonight.

You can also see part of "Coge" (our handicapped hen) and her 3 adopted silkies.
