Well the ultimate thing we all know COULD happen but pray won't has happened. Animal Control stopped by. 
She was super nice and didn't cite me this time. She's going to come back in a couple of weeks to check in. I need to either have my coop in compliance with permit requirements or rehome them. I asked her to look at my coop and be honest with me about my chances. She gave me the name of someone in compliance to call to ask for help with a variance but she said it's probably not likely to be granted. So basically, I am turning myself in and begging for mercy. And praying.

She said no one complained, that she saw it driving by but I know that's not true. You can't see my coop from the street and I've had it for 5+ years with no one seeing it. So I'm positive someone called. I have a suspicion but no real proof. My backyard neighbor is building a pool. They cut down the 25' arbor vitae that were all along our lot line and are doing the whole thing up very fancy. My guess is either they don't want my coop messing up their fancy pool or one of their inspectors noticed it and called.
My coop is larger than allowed and we are only allowed 4 hens. I can try to get the coop in compliance or request a variance but it's pretty unlikely. The max we're allowed is a 24 sqft coop and 32 sqft run. With that size, I wouldn't even feel comfortable with 4 hens. They'd be crammed in. But also, my coop and run are basically rooted to the ground. I'm going to have to dig them out and it will look uglier than a coop ever could.
The officer was very nice. She felt terrible. But ultimately, I live in a stupid place with stupid rules. I tried moving last year but couldn't sell my house so I'm stuck.

Sis was in hospital for a whole week. They found numerous health issues but discharged Friday pm with a home-health service & rehab. She really needs a rehab facility, but she declined.
Her BP is 180/90, her sugar has been 487-600 even with all the insulin she's taking. (She's on steroids so that makes the sugar increase) She's been getting cloudy brain but still insists no 911. Because she's a safety hazard and can't watch my dad in her condition, I must now sleep at my dad's house to watch both. My husband and I are taking shifts to cover them 24/7. It was far easier to be able to bring my dad here where we could all keep eyes on him.
Our son has had to care for all our pets and house. Our daughter is miserable with bronchitis, so that's another reason why my dad can't stay here.

I'm in a similar boat, except my brother who is hospitalized is on the other side of the country. I'm stressed about not being able to be there, but he has a strong support group of friends that are stepping in and providing the physical and moral support i can't do from here. He went in for a bad fever and was diagnosed with endocarditis, then while he was hospitalized for iv antibiotics he had a septic stroke. They got the systemic septicemia under control and he had open heart surgery for a valve replacement Thursday. Meanwhile, my mom fell and broke her shoulder right before he was hospitalized (like, literally hours before).
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
