I have a serious problem as well. Just like you I bid on an auction, thinking I will not win but I did. So now I am the owner of 8+ Chocolate Cuckoo and Chocolate Orpington chicks of EWE Crazy and the Fancychick lines. That is wonderful but I will be in serious trouble when they arrive. I have 25 eggs in my incubator. I know that I will be able to rehome all 13 Legbars but I will still have the 11 Mauve+ 2 BBS chicks to handle. I don't know what I will do. Will be really tough to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell/let go. Plus DW just found out and is going crazy!

LOL, Congrats! I love the chocolate cuckoos. Junibutt lets face it, we city chicken people have a problem. We were meant to live in the country!

I have been looking on LandWatch.com for the last year. Have fallen in love with a couple of properties, but they were in Minnesota, which is too far from my children and grandchildren.

Thanks, but husband won't go south or southwest. I've already tried. I can't really go anywhere until the grandkids are in school anyway, so I have a couple more years in the city. But, it doesn't hurt looking! How about that one for you?

I am looking for something that has a house on it as well and more like a rental situation. My son has two years of high school left, so can't buy till he graduates and we know where he is going to college.

My broody Bantam Orp is looking for some hatching eggs. The crazy hen hatched some chicks April 12th & is already wanting more. DD would love a second trial for her 4H broody experiment, so I'll go along with it if I can find some semi-local eggs.

I don't have any eggs, but I have some black split to blue marans chicks. I have 2 if your interested. I hatched 3 pullets and 1 cockerel and thinking about trying to keep the cockerel.

I gave a pair of BLR Barnevelders to a lady last year for taking care of my chicks for a couple of weeks. Let me know if you are interested and I will check with her. Since its one hen only 5-6 fresh eggs possible and I would say she would ask for $10 tops if that. The BLRs are the Fancy Chick line.

My Chocolate Cuckoo Orpingtons have arrived. Even though the seller got the short end of the stick, however he was still very nice to send me two chocs as extras. I will take some pics tomorrow. Here are pics of one of the chocs. I did not know they even have chocolate legs and feet. I felt like tasting them
