What is easier, ducks or turkeys?

Ducks are cute with a lot of personality...... but very messy.

My turkeys are just in the backyard with the chickens, so they're easy to feed & care for. The taste is amazing. Nothing at all like the usual frozen turkeys.

They can & will fly up into the trees, so wings need to be trimmed. (It only stops them from flying too far) They are not very smart and will get themselves into hazardous situations - get trapped in the compost tumbler or head stuck in a feeder. They take a long time to mature.

I have thought about keeping a pair of pet ducks with my chickens. What held me back from making that leap was these 2 1/2 things. 1,,, housing needs to be slightly different, especially my winter method. Ducks do not sit on roost bars.
2,,, Ducks do not reeeeeeeealy need a pond, but my loving :love pair would.:idunno
1/2,,, I'm not sure if they would like to stay only on my grounds. My run is confined with fence, but I let my flock out into back, and side yard daily. (not fenced) They never wander away past our property. Would ducks stay that close,,, or wander off??? I just have a city lot,,, not 5 acres:old I think If I had a pond, they would most-likely stay near it.
Turkeys:confused: If they came in bantam size,, I would consider one. I luv the way they look with the RED colors:love
Quail needs to be caged, and not free ranged, so those cuties are also a no go for my yard.
So this all limits me to my :love lovely chickens,,

Tough days around here! I've had two of my new chicks in as many days have sudden death. :hitI could see no reason other than perhaps the heat being a contributing factor. I've pulled in all the young chicks, along with Peggy cochin who took them all under wing, inside. It is literally a zoo inside my house. All I need is a giraffe to make things complete.

@homeschoolin momma

This gave me a chuckle today & then thought of fishing with your DS last week and laughed a little more.
