Illinois...

Is it the foam kind? I have a foam one. I'm not happy with the results any more. The first several uses were fine, but it isn't so great anymore. Hatch results went downhill.
My kids would gladly help with some hatching. We happen to have a variety of incubators. The homemade ones are the best..... but the large capacities can be dangerous.

If you want something small and automatic, I like the Nurture Right 360. It’s literally the easiest incubator I’ve ever set up. Same price range as the Hovabator

I recall you bought the nurture right 360 last year. Have you done multiple hatches in it? I'm concerned with consistent performance. Also, is it easy to clean? Styrofoam incubators are a PITA to clean.

Plastic forced air but it does have a foam case just to insulate for energy consumption. It might be able to hatch 9 duck eggs or so.

Our Cornish X mix, Duck is missing tail feathers still. They never grew in after she molted in the Fall. I tried to get pictures today, but she would no longer turn her back to me once my phone was out. :rant

Anyhow, I did a pic of her for enjoyment at least. Not the best quality, but amusing.

I think F&F chick days starts Feb 5?
I keep telling myself I'm not buying any more chicks this year. Only time will tell!
I was looking this up today. Online they don't say anything about chicks in store. The first order deadline is Feb 5th. Those chicks will be available for in store pick up in March. I'm guessing e will not see chicks for sale in store until March as well.

Long day today. Work and DS's speech therapy and school. We grabbed dinner and afterward I noticed DS has a fever. It spike to 103. Now we are battling that all night... Tylenol, pedialite, cool rags, frozen peas on the head... We will not be able to get into the doctor until tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious. It seems to have come down a bit. I think it was the Tylenol getting into his system finally. I have to stay up to give him another dose at 11:30 and then monitor his temp for a while longer.
