Illinois...

I was at least aware of foundation and water pipe risks. I also have had JULIE out before so I know where all the pipes and lines are for the most part. I'm that that incapable. 😁 I just didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to contain this peach tree to the snake size I initially wanted. It's still a small tree, but at around 15' it is much larger than the 8' vision I had. I do think I will be able to contain it with proper pruning (learning that still obviously) to the current height and maintain a productively bearing tree. Not it's a matter of encouraging growth of the right manner and keeping tabs on new growth each year to know where fruit will be forming the next year.
I am not great at typing so I looked this up for you. I would say these are experts and can say it better then I can.

I hope you didn't feel I was saying you are incapable. I don't feel this way. I was just saying a fence isn't so bad to misjudge as others have created huge issues.

I wish I could get my hens to lay coins :caf:old:idunno:gig
You are a fun one. I just haven't had such a large chicken egg before. each week she seems to lay one jumbo and it seems to get bigger and bigger. the rest of the time ex large eggs.

I don't get large doubles from my flock,,,,, but they started to produce eggs in last couple weeks. Only 2 of my 6 hens are laying,, but that is better than nothing. They are in their winter housing loft,, and getting 12 hours of light on timer. That may be reason/factor the jump-started the eggs.
Wendy my 4 year old I got from Farady, and Lo,, about 2 year, that I got from WhyDoILikeChickens are the producers. MaryJane will be 10 years soon,, so not expecting many from her. The Banties did not start yet.

Congrats on your laying hens. What type do you have?
These are all pullets that I have.I do not use artificial lighting. I have gotten doubles before but never one that is larger than the palm of my hand. I am wondering how big these are going to get. Like I said each week one egg is like this and it just seems to be getting bigger and bigger. I am in total awe.

I only have hens also. 6 total now. and ALL are PETS. The reason for the light,, They are inside garage loft for the winter. The windows are not sufficient for light, but do help. So, I provide the timer light. I also heat the garage with wood stove when extreme cold outside.
My lineup.
MaryJane,,, RIR
Wendy,,,,, Welsummer
LO,,,, BSL mix
Sushi,,, Japanese Bantam.
Pebbles,,,, OEGH bantam
Savannah,,,, Serama

That is a nice line up you have. How is Sushi? I have never had a japanese and I wonder about their temperment. Are they big on foraging? Are they sweeties or stand offish?
