Mine never love me like some people say their bird's do.
I just don't spend the time and energy petting them and all that like you would a puppy.
Mine will come running over, but if I dare touch them, they stretch out their necks, looking at my hand and with their high pitched clocking say "whoa, noooo, no touchie!" LOL. But I snatch them up anyway and kiss their chests and make kissy noises at them, hehe!

LOL! So funny. Yeah I have a few puppies so I'm not looking for birdie puppies. I just want them to stop screaming at me like I'll eat them whole. I held each for five minutes today and afterward instead of huddling in a corner and eyeing me suspiciously they ran around me and over my feet while playing. Warms my heart. haha
I had the same freaked out chicks when they were in the rubbermaid tub, I decided to make an open wire mesh brooder were they can see me all the time (they are in my dinning room right now lol) I made the cage were it has a door on the side and now they hop out and into my lap and LOVE me!! I also hatched this clutch and I am sure that makes some of them more friendly, they have never been handled roughly. My chicks are going to be 3 weeks old Sunday and half are barnyard mix and the other half are EE's which I absoloutly love those little guys, VERY friendly and calm.
My brooding box is pretty open, but I had to put a few play pen fence links around it to keep my two YO out.
Here she is with her most evil grin. No one should trust her!
