We had our Jersey Giant hen go broody on us, so I stuck a few eggs under her to make her happy. I figured tomorrow was day 21, so I went to see if anything was going on with pipping and such. There was 1 baby something or other in the nest with her. I think it is a JG/BR cross. I thought our JG roo was shooting blanks, so I am somewhat surprised. Now we are waiting to see how many will hatch. I put 5 under her, but someone snuck in and laid 2 more much later. We'll see.
