Greetings from Puerto Rico,
I'm really surprised at how much people like chickens, I always liked them and only had pictures & figurines of them all over my kitchen. Around 6 months ago was going by a feed store and they had these beautiful black chicks and couldn't resists and bought 6 of a kind and 3 of another. The store people did not know the breed so I'm stumped as to what breed they are. Soon will post a pic to get answers. While raising lost 3 chicks. Have only 6 left. My hubby made a fenced in thingy for them. Then I came upon your site by coincidence and got hooked i've been reading every time I get a chance. Now I Know what a coop is and want one soon for my chickadees. Trying to learn as fast as I can to do a good job. Now my chicken are starting to lay eggs only getting 1 - 3 eggs a day, I'm very happy with them. Hoping to grow to 12-15 chickens.
