I'm a terrible human being...

I think it's Seymour.

I think I can get away with correcting the man from the desert.

I think that carnivorous plants are to hard to keep because of their soil requirements, they have to be just right.

I hear the screams of crane fly pain through the internet. Help me, help me, hel---------

Just a side note: No, it doesn't hurt you to stick your finger in the venus fly trap. If it's as big as your hand though..probably not a good idea. The small ones don't hurt though...

They are so beautiful!!!

I soo need some of those now!

I imagine GA weather is good for them with the warm humid area that I imagine GA as being. Wonder if they'd do well in cool humid weather indoors.

They wouldnt do well at all indoors. They need full sun, most of the day. Mine have been growing in that barrel for about 4 years now I think. I keep the soil mixture wet/soaking all summer. Then let it dry out a little during the winter, when they go dormant. I'm thinking about doing another one.

Darn it. I might have to try anyways. LOL That is if I can get myself to fork over the $$$ to get one in this area knowing it might die. I'll just have to flood it with grow lamps. :p

How many did you start with? Also are they slow growers like everyone says? I had a venus fly trap but it died because I fed it too much....

They are not real expensive. I ordered mine on-line from Cook's Carnivorous Plants out of Eugene Or. You should check out their website! I started out with the small unpotted plants. Great, now I may need to do another bog!
