I'm Alive, UPDATE AGAIN another hospitlization

Quote:
I agree go home and get some sleep while your mom is sleeping at night. Make sure the nurses' station has your cell # just in case and go home and do just the essentials and then crash and get you some rest. If you keep it up you will end up sick and in the hospital your self and that won't do you or your mom any good. You can volunteer once she gets out of the hospital as I don't think the need of volunteers is gonna go away for awhile.

2x and do take care of yourself too!

x3 -- your priority right now is to make sure YOU get rest, nutrition, and hydration so you can be there for the others (human or critter) who need you.

Now that makes me cry!!! What a wonderful thing to do MFB!!!

that made me tear up too. that's sweet of you to offer but i am able to function at the moment.

good news sister called. she was visiting mom while i was here taking care of some things, and said the doctors did not find a clot so she is going home today.

the infection has gone down dramatically, but this is the second time she has had a very high D-dimer, and will be tested again in about a week to two weeks and if it is elevated again, she may have malignancy somewhere, and will have to go for more tests.

this is good and scary news at the same time.

my sister will be taking mom home, so I think i'm going to go get a nap. love you all.
night

Only fair... we've had strangers here helping up clean up all last week after the tornadao hit us, and we didn't get ANYTHING like as bad as North Alabama. People helping people is what makes the world go 'round...

Yes it is. I just wish we could see a lot more of it during normal times. Not just when there is a crisis!!! I remember you saying on your thread that even your moonshining neighbors came to help out!! That made me cry too!! Dang you and making me cry!!!

Kristy so sorry about your mom praying for her and you, please get some rest. I hope you can get everything taken care of. Please remember there are people who can and will help. Keep safe. Be well.

Now y'all are making ME cry! Dang.

Kristy-don't get too worried about the d-dimer thing. Just the infection can make it elevated, or blood clots, or inflammation of any kind. Sneezing real hard could probably elevate it.

Take care.

ok, mom is home, and i got in trouble. instead of taking a nap i did four loads of laundry and changing the bed sheets. I was scolded for not letting that wait.

One of my favorite roosters is sick, and then a chick went missing. turns out the chick crawled into the feeder when the bottom popped off and couldn't figure out how to back out. i had to pull it out by it's little tail. not a happy bird. I was laughing the whole time. silly thing.

I wouldn't have noticed it until later when I refilled the feeders if I hadn't seen the feeder start rocking.

kids and animals. if there is the smallest chance they can get stuck in it, take it apart, or hurt themselves with it they will find away

Yeah, I totally agree! Some of the footage we get here after a natural disaster somewhere in the world of complete strangers helping their neighbours clean up, look for missing relatives, find something to eat... it's just really heartwarming to see. I love hearing stories like that

I'm glad your mom's okay. It's always nerve-wracking when a close family member gets sick

Just take it easy for a while, I usually end up causing more trouble than help whenever I haven't had enough sleep
