Im assuming pullet so far but any idea on breed?

I wonder if it could be a Blue Olive Egger?

That page is not very helpful (no photo, vague description), but in some of the photos I thought your bird might look a bit blue. And the list of traits does mention single comb (which your chick has, vs. pea comb on the "Easter Egger" page.)

For the rainbow assortment you ordered, would it be this one?

"Our Rainbow Carton Assortment is sold in multiples of 5 and includes the hatchery's choice of 2 Brown Egg Layers, 1 White Egg Layer, 1 Dark Brown Egg Layer, and 1 Easter Egger."

If you ordered that, have you found the right number of Easter Eggers so far? Because if you are supposed to have one EE for each 5 "rainbow carton" chicks, and you are coming up one short, then that might explain this mystery chick.

That is always a possibility for any odd-looking chicken.

The Easter Egger page says they have pea combs and muff/beard on the face, but I don't know how common it is for there to be exceptions. And I notice they add new breeds every now and then-- they could be raising a new kind of Easter Egger now, intending to offer them in a year or two, but put a few in assortments now as they work up to a larger breeding flock. (I do not know if they do this. I am just speculating about what they "might" do when starting to raise a new breed.)
Well as of now I have 3 easter Eggers. Did have another but lost it so I know I had 4 total.

Let me find the exact order of what I got.

Exact count.

If you are sure of the Easter Eggers you have identified, then that does make enough for all the "Rainbow Carton" assortment. So much for that way of narrowing it down.

Maybe a Blue Cuckoo Marans?

That should be one of the options for the "Dark Brown Layer" assortment.
That would account for it having blue and for the white barring, along with a single comb and clean feet that have white (not yellow) on the soles and the edges of the toes.
I feel that the chick's coloring is not quite what I would expect for a Blue Cuckoo Marans, but it is closer than anything else I have yet thought of.

Or of course it could still be an Easter Egger or Blue Olive Egger, because any breed could be shipped as part of the Surprise Special.

I will be curious to see updates as the chick gets older, and to learn what color eggs it lays (assuming it is a female.)

Me too as of now they are about 7.5 weeks old so we still got time for adult stage!
