In the Brooder
I finally fell victim to a fowlpox outbreak. Some of my chicks developed drypox (thankfully, none got wetpox). After a rough battle and TLC, everyone managed to fully recover.
Only two ended up with a secondary infection, infectious Coryza. How that happened, I have no idea; I'm extremely strict about biosecurity. I took them to the vet, and she prescribed Sulfazine. Both chicks improved, and my little pullet made a full recovery, but my young rooster still has persistent mucus and bubbles coming from one eye.
I’ve tried Doxymax, Sulfazine, vitamins, and garlic, and even kept him in the bathroom during my showers so the steam could help with drainage but nothing has worked. The strange part is that he isn’t acting sick at all. He’s eating, drinking, and behaving like a normal little rooster.
I'm completely stumped. I plan to try a few other medications, but I honestly have no idea what this could be. I've attached pictures of the medicine I'm planning on purchasing as well as pictures of my little rooster.
