Day 17. Candling tonight.
Kathy, I'm happy to be back. All my chicken stuff got put on hold due to house renovations. But I'm slowly getting back into things now. You just wait till I Finnish making my big cabinet incubator, then I'll be living in this side of the site

I decided to move the broodies tonight. Where they were wasn't a good place for chicks. One of them didn't like it much but did eventually get back on thee eggs and the other broody went and sat on the eggs straight away. So we'll see how they are liking their new set up tomorrow.
I candled them and all 9 are where they're supposed to be

I took a picture that sort of turned out, I'll post it later when I get home.

My broody is about to hatch out her two eggs, I candled them today for first time and both are full, I hope they turn out to be friendly chicks, my last ones are pretty wild and will not get close to me. They were a surprise hatch from a Penedesenca who was kinda flighty. Good Luck with your hatch.

When i touch the eggs i can feel the chicks moving around, And i can hear tapping. I guess that means pips tomorrow.

I can't wait for more little ones.
