Some of my ducks sound like they're almost honking. The only goose I can think of with suck a long thin neck would be Chinese and then the bill would be completely different. I have Muscovys, Pekins and runners and I don't think he's any of those and with him quacking so young he might be a girl.

True. Im a guy so i just called him a boy even tho i havent check the sex of it yet. HE could be female, if that makes any sence lol. might have to come up with a girls name now. ^_^

Definitely a duck's bill in that photo. It does not look that big for a duck looking at it with the waterer next to it. I still think it will be a heavy weight duck or a muscovy duck. What are you feeding? A diet too rich can make them grow very fast, which is not good for them. Have him on a 17% protein diet with no more then 1/3 of a pound feed per day. Also give him some outdoor time when the temp is above 65 degrees. Perhaps that makes him a little bit more independent. Oh, yes it could be a girl. They are loud compared to males. You will know in a month for sure.
