Thanks for those links, chickensalad!
I'm impressed. I didn't find a TN legislator on the list of those taking $ from Monsanto. I'll read through the lists more carefully later on, just to make sure...

Here! Here! It's not healthy either. How can it be? And they wonder why their has been such an increase in cancer and other medical problems. HELLO! Let's look at how our food is being grown.
My sister is on a gluten-free diet, and I have to wonder if it's really the wheat she's allergic to, or some way the wheat has been altered or processed that she's actually allergic to.
Don't the farmers sign an agreement with the seed suppliers that they will not keep and re-grow seeds from their crops?
If they did the farmers don't have a leg to stand on.
Morally the suppliers could have a little more tact when dealing with their customers.
But technically, the farmers that re-grow seed without paying the supplier is stealing that seed.
Say you and I make a contract that says I will sell you two $20.00 hens for $10.00 and you WILL kill and eat them in 1 year and buy new hens from me. You are allowed to sell as many eggs as those hens can produce in that year. But at the end of that year you are not allowed to keep those hens or hatch new hens.
BUT!!!
You decide to hatch 20 eggs and not buy more hens from me next year. You are selling eggs and hens you are not supposed to have, taking money from me.
I'm not playing Devils advocate but they did sign the contracts........
Just like all those people taking home loans they can't afford because they didn't read the fine print.
Caviot emptor....Buyer beware.
