Hello BYC detectives! My wife and I bought 5 pullets at the end of April and I'm becoming concerned that they may not all be girls... Also, One was sold as an Araucana, but I think that's unlikely since I've been reading BYC... So, what are your thought?

This is Beatrice - the supposed Araucana...

Hmmm - I thought I had a pic showing her(?) feet...I'll see if I can come up with one.. At any rate, we were hoping for multi-colored eggs from our flock, I'll be terribly disappointed if she is a he. No roosters allowed where we live, so we'd have to re-home if she is he.... **edit, if you look closely at the 2nd pic, you can see her(?) olive green legs and feet - they blend in with the weed pile**

This one is not named yet, but was sold as a Silver Laced Wyandotte pullet. Thoughts?

They are between 12 and 13 weeks right now...

The fact that Bea (the first pics) started developing longer tail feathers began to concern me - certainly ruling out Araucana at any rate...

The two shown in the pics are also the most skittish around me and do NOT like to be picked up, nor will they come to take berries out of my hand. Our red sex link and California white both take berries from me, our Barred Rock comes up and nips my finger when I offer a berry.

The first one is an easter egger and he is a cockerel.

The second one is a silver laced wyandotte and I believe it is also a cockerel. It has too much silver on the back to be a pullet. Part the feathers in the saddle area and see if pointy ones are growing in.

May I suggest the name Bert? He has elongated saddle feathers draping over the base of the tail.

And the SLW looks alot like my boy Georgie. He also has the saddle feathers and a little irridescence in the tail feathers.
