im getting fan tail pigeons today

ya im getting some today just wondering how quick the y will get use to thier cage.

I was told to leave them in for a month, but I let mine out after 2 weeks.

They should get usesd to it fairly quickly.

I let mine out the day I got them..... oops. But they were fine with it. They still know that when I open the cage door, either they fly in or I chase them in, and that when I open the door, they can fly out.....

They'll get used to it pretty quick as far as living in it. If you plan on letting them out, it would be wise to trap train them first and get them trained to a food call so you can control them and keep them safe. If they are homers - squeakers can be let out as soon as they learn to work the trap, 2 months old keep them in a couple weeks and make sure they are trained, 3-4 months keep them in a month and once again make sure they are trained. If they are older than that I wouldn't risk it and keep them as breeders. Any other breed they really only need a couple weeks to get trained and comfortable with you and their new home.
