I'm getting the itch. Anyone want to hatch some eggs?

Hatch ready to start Thursday, July 24, in Hovabator with turner and self-installed fan. Temperature 100 to 101. Humidity 35 to 40 first 18 days. Now 60 to 65. Eggs from my flock of 40 or more. Hens - Jersey Giants, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington. Australorp Cross, Colombian, Eggs - Dark Brown to Creme, Extra-Large to Medium. Roosters - Extra-Large Australorp, Buff Orpington.

Another hatch - August 14 in self-rigged Hovabator.

Am considering buying LG 9300. Will use egg turner and install fan from assortment around here.

That's awesome...and yes, things can egn cause delays so I do not give up on an egg wen it is a little overdue. Those little buggers can surprise you!!!! Congrats...and of course we need pictures of fuzzy butts:love

As requested some fuzzy butts! The Copper Blacks turned out to be the more traditional type with some fury feet!

Wow, can't wait to see how those chicks turn out! Are both males together with all the hens?

Eggs came today. To my untrained eye many of them look porous when I candled them. I have them resting with the fat end up in a cool room. Two of them have small cracks I will need to seal with clear fingernail polish. One of them looked like it had a solid mass already - could this be an embryo attempting to develop under extended shipping conditions?

YAY! I let my eggs rest and now have them in the bator to get started! then under my broody on Friday...she is ready! I do think if they shipped and it was warm enough temps, they can start to develop? Good luck!!!
